Snowberry Clearwing Moth!

Seems a bit unusual to see this guy in the 4-5 oclock hour. Whats more they usually fly around real fast where its hard to get a shot of them but this guy really took his time on my dwarf pentas.

There appears to be something special about the pentas ,I am now a believer after first the hummers proving and now this guy.

Steve - I have to agree with you. I hadn't noticed them using the Penta for a couple of days, but the critters are back at it again. Maybe watering them has something to do with it. Does watering dilute the nectar a bit?

Actually my thoughts are that watering would have the opposite effect on the nectar contents.

Love this little guy! This moth is one of the new ones I've raised this year. I've let three go and have 23 more cats. happy.gif They are all over my honeysuckle vine. I keep picking them when I see them.
