WHP SHOWING

I am thinking about entering a Working hunter pony class at my next local show.I know there is jumping involved.I am not sure whether u plait a native pony for it!Can anyone give me more info?God am I sad......:)lol

why have you put this on the tracing horses forum? having a bad day already??!!
with WHP you jump the course of jumps first & then all the clear rounds come in together for the ridden showing phase. at bigger shows the pony is marked out of 100; so much for jumping, some for ride, confirmation & manners - penalty points are added for a knock down or refusal - at smaller shows they don't usually boher with the points system. Usually the jumping is split into height sections of the ponies bu at some shows all under 15 hands jump one height & over that jump bigger jumps. If its an M&M worker then no need to plait. if itts an open workers then you should plait but I wouldn't worry too much if you are competing in native clases at he same show.
