hello my name is cerys i have a 13.2 new forest called matley dash and i was wondering if ne1 has ever owned him on here and if they could give me some info about him and his family especially matley brandy , smiler of sheepwash and bull hill maverick fanx cerys x

I own a 2yr old forester called Cameron Sorona Smiler who is by Smiler of Sheepwash. Unfortunately Smiler was killed in a road traffic accident while running on the forest with his mares nearly 3 years ago. My boy is one of the last offspring from him. He was a fantastic little stallion. There is a lot of info on him on www.newforestponies.com if you want more info on him. He was owned by Mandy Pidgely.

I have a son of Smiler too. Smiler was very special and seems to have passed his wonderful temperament onto his offspring. He is very sadly missed even after 3 years

I have a 7 year old gelding by Smiler of Sheepwash as well! He is beautiful, clever and has such a lovely temperament! He has given me so much confidence. My old pony was far to strong for me and was sold under false pretences to me. He made me lose my confidence so much, he put me back in my riding for a year.
Shadow is a lovely pony. I have only had him 5 1/2 months and I have taken him to a local show and gone out on REALLY long hacks! Oh, and he can jump really well too! I don't know whether Smiler was any good at jumping but I know that he has passed on his lovely temperment to my little shadow!

Yes, Smiler certainly could jump - he could do anything, he'd even started doing dressage. Before they re-did the NFPBCS website there was a feature on Smiler with a series of photos - one was a brilliant pic of him jumping through a curtain of brushwood!

Yes smiler could jump! He even managed to jump out of a stable at the farriers stud when they did the collection of semen from the forest run stallions a few years back,. He liked the look of the tease mares! hehe

I have a 4yo mare by Smiler and she has his wonderful temperament too

I have a mare who is smilers grand daughter, she has a lovely temperament and can jump like a stag!!! I agree with everyone else, he will be missed!

i have a pony that is 6 years old called uncle sam ive owned him for 2 years now and his daddy was smiler of sheepwash ive heard alot about him and iknow that smilers personality and his jump was passed onto my lil boy!!!sam looks alot like smiler!

We bought a pony called Matley Dash with original papers with above pedigree in December 2007, from people in Worcestershire. Are we talking about the same pony?. He belongs to my 10 yr old son who is having a fantastic time with him, he is much loved and we would love to know anything about his history.

i used to own dash and i sold him to the people in worcostshire, i miss him soo much n i am heartbroken i would love to know how he is doing as i have been concerned about where he is etc and have been trying to trace him for ages .. he was a fantastic pony for me i am glad your son is having a great time with him is there any chance would could keep in touch and if you ever wish to be seelin him i can give you my number n we will gladly buy him back thanks , please write back Tiffany x
