We have had little Fizz on loan for about 2 years now and love him dearly. Since I had a saddlecloth made for him with his name on it, quite a few people have come over and said they remember him from years gone by.

We would love to hear your memories of him, good and bad (we know how naughty he can be) how long ago it was and where he was.

My knowledge of him is that he was born in Tiptoe, spent time at Flanders Farm riding school and South Sway Farm before we met him. I know he was in the Gymkhana Team for the Pony Club.

I believe his full name is Charleswood Mr Fizz.

Hi! I don't know him know him, but I went to Flanders Farm and Mr Fizz is one of the very few I remember! Only because I was too scared to ride him!!! I can't believe he's 12.2!!! I thought he was bigger than that! Aww, it is lovely to see that picture! Hope you have lots of fun with him!

Oh wow, he's still going! My daughter used to ride him at Flanders Farm back in 1994'ish - she'll be thrilled to know he's still around.

Back then he really was fizzy, lol. It got to the point where I couldn't watch her lessons anymore - my nerves just weren't up to it. She loved him though and had great fun riding him. We always requested him.

Any ideas what happened to Mrs Fizz?

Mrs. Fizz was indeed at Flanders at the same time as Mr. Fizz. If I rmember rightly they were stabled next door to one another. She was a grey too - they looked quite similar. I have no idea if they were related though.

I can't remember their names... A mother and daughter I believe. There were always lots of dogs too 9a pack!), collies and JR terrires if I remember rightly.

Yes i remember mr and mrs fizz, I rode at flanders farm on the saturday pony club back in 1992/3.
I have some pictures somewhere penny, but cant see your proof.
Dont remember much about his behavior, but I think i learnt to canter on mrs fizz. (thought mrs fizz was bay though??)

Also remember Flicker and Flash- the two palaminos, Fusspot, Brandy, Crystal, Blue, Flinstone- the coloured and Babs the shetland.

Really nice to hear of ponies i learnt to ride on.

A bit off topic, but do any of you remember Freebie? Would have been around the ssame time as Mr.Fizz you see.

Mrs Rogers and her daughter Tessa used to have Flanders, I did my school trident work experience there in 1990 and what an experience that was.

Whilst I was there I rode a pony called Frennie.

I didn't think it was Freenie, but it was a long time ago.... Frenie / Freebie does sound similar :dunno:

What was Freenie like? The small ohrse 15.2 ish I remember as Freebie was chestnut with almost a flaxen / grey streaked mane.

I remember Freebie. And flapjack! I used to be scared of him!

i used to ride at flanders when Tesso owned it, the daughetr being Sally who was at my primary school- they became Bakrupt and sold up now based in west somerset!

Freebie was sold to a rding school in Brock but i believe he is no longer with us, on horse heaven now :(

Penny was Mr Fizz at Flander is 1997-1999 thats when i used to ride there, i also remember myu second riding lesson when i was leading the shetland and it stood on my foot and i cried so much- must have been young as it had no shoes on lol!

Blimey I remember most of these!!! I rode there in 1991 - its where I very first started to ride when I was 8 :)

I remember Mr Fizz, Mrs Fizz (rode both of them I think, would love to see the pic or Mr Fizz but I cant :( ), Sunspot and Crystal are another two I remember.

And Flicker and Flash!! I rode Flicker a couple of times - wernt they kept in a barn together or something? I have this memory of Flicker trotting off with me!!!

fizzy is the greatest pony ever both my boys had fizz when he was at south sway and did every thing on him we love him to bits and he will always be in our hearts. we also had one of the other flanders ponys that went with mr and mrs fizz floppsy about 12hh silver grey we lost him about 6years ago to cushins. fizz is the sort of pony that is hard to find but when you have had a pony like him you never forget them my eldest is 15 now and 5ft10in and if he could shrink himself he would if it would mean he could ride fizzy again

Yes i do remember the little sod from about 2 years ago the summer when i rode him when you first got him and he used to buck,lift his front legs off the ground,do gymkanah turns and charge off with me!!!!lol!
