Although some may consider this film to be mildly entertaining, I personally am not one of them and I know that it was the beginning of Tom Hanks career, but he has made significantly better films than this. Some staying within the comedy genre and other that have been far more poignant such as Saving Private Ryan or my personal favourite Castaway, where the eminent Mr Hanks was stranded on a dessert island with no one except Wilson his trusty basket ball for company!
