I'm looking for my mare's half brother (out of same mare). He was out of a NF mare and by (what I was told) a steele grey arab stallion? The dam was called Kizzy and was a skewbald. My own mare was bred in Christchurch and I think thats where he was bred too.
I would just be interested to see what he looks like and how he's turned out as I've had my mare 8 years and love her to bits!
hi, it might not be the same horse but i ued to ride a skewbald pony called Kahn at my riding school, he was about 14.2hh and looked like a native pony x something finer. he moved to France with his owner about 2 years ago now
Hiya, it does sound very much like the pony poppy was thinking of. if so as poppy said he moved to france with his owner about four years ago and belonged to a very good friend of mine. hes a cracking chap and one of the best ponies ive ever ridden, so i can imagine your mare is a stunner too!!! (hes what got me into coloureds in the first place!!!)
unfortunatly i have lost the contact details for his owner so am unable to forward you on, however here is a picture of the shear khan i knew

it may be a completely different khan your looking for but i hope this helps!!!
Obviously different father so they wouldn't be that similar but there's something about his eyes that really look like my mare. I wonder if it is him??? Which riding school was it that he was at?
Oh... why won't the pics work? They worked in the preview! grrrr!
Try?:
Poppy and Jody. Such a shame there's no contact details. I'd love to know if it is him. It's uncanny if it's not him. The markings are different (my mare's are extremely similar to the dam) but as I said, different father so they wouldn't be totally alike. Thanks so much for taking the time to post. My mare is amazing. Turns her hoof to anything. She has a wonderful laid back temperament but great fun to ride.
Emma,
Thanks for responding but I know he was a coloured because the breeders were telling me that they were amazed how they managed to get 2 skewbalds to 2 completely different types of stallion.
Thank anyway xxx
Verity

Thinking back, I get the impression that he may have been older. The lady who bred my mare came out to see her once when I first got her and gave me quite a lot of information but I've lost her details, hence advertising on here. However, after 8 years it's all a bit hazy now too! lol.
It's weird that he was at Warborne farm because I had my mare broken in there by Sarah Simmons. That was about 1998/9ish?
Thanks again,
Verity
p.s. Is it you with the coloured cob?

He was a flea bitten grey the girl that owned him also had a horse called khalid.
I knew the girl that had kahn on loan as i had a pony there the same time as her. the loaners name was Jess.
I guess its not the same kahn as everyone else knows! Just so happens that they are both arabxnf.
thats weird! they were prob there at the same time!
i have found an address for shelia. if you want i could email it too you and then she may be able to forward you on to georgina or even tell you a bit about him herself as she knew him very well.
Yeah I remember Alix, she had him on loan at pinkmead and then another girl called jess took over the loaning i think!
Alix is no longer at sherecroft, she had a coloured on full loan there and also had a shetland. She was in the stable next to me,her loan finished then she left. I believe she still lives in botley. am not too sure.
Hi, just thought you would like to know my friend Anita Luker owned Shea Khan from a 2 year old. She sold him as an eleven (11) year old. If you would like to know more about him, and to see some photographs of him, please contact Anita on 07778549745.
Hope that has been of help, all the best, Carole
