Upcerne X-Factor is the the sire of one of my fillies (second from the left below). I'd love to know what he's up to now / how he's doing.

Upcerne X-Factor

August 29 2008, 8:47 PM

Hi, my name is Brett and my daughter Sam is now riding Upcerne X-Factor (stable name Tori) at his stables in Hampshire just outside Portsmouth. He arrived at the stable at just over 1 year old and has been at the same place ever since. He has had a couple of people take him on over the next 5 years (he is now 6) and my daughter took him on 2 months ago. From the records we have from past riders he was completely backed around October 2007 and was riden regularly until a couple of months ago when the former rider (a young girl) left the yard. As I said my daughter has now taken him on and hopes to show jump with him in the near future as well as show. He was just over 14.2 last year but has not been measured since. He is bay in colour and is a lively chap to say the least, but good natured with it. My daughter is getting on with him well and they look like they have a good future together. I understand your filly is Fleetwater Cascade as we looked up the bloodline on the internet and we would love to know how she is getting on.

Thanks so much for responding - it's lovely to hear how he's doing.

You are correct, my filly is Fleetwater Cascade. She has done very well so far - she attended the BEF /British Breeding Futurity in 2006 and was awarded a first premium and was regional champion yearling sports pony and went on to be overall top yearling sports pony that year. We took her again last year where she was regional champion 2 yr old sports pony and went on to be placed 2nd overall 2 yr old sports pony. She'd have gone agin this year had the entries not filled up and therefore closed early. We will take her for grading with the SPSS at some point.

She'll be lightly backed this winter and then turned away until next spring. My daughter hopes to event her and (much) later she'll join the broodmares.

There are some photos of her on my web page - link below.(I'm going to update with better photos in a few days too).

Would love to see some photos of Tori.

Good luck with him.
