Waxwings

In Target's parking lot I found these darlings. I had to lighten the pics up a hair (didn't want to overdo it though)...it's a cloudy, misty day today.
Cropped and lightened...

Uncropped but lightened...

Nice shots! Seems every time I see waxwings I have terrible backlighting and the shots are not good

I think there are two different species of Waxwings. First you have the suburban/rural waxwings and then there are the citified waxwings. These birds were in the 'burbs. But I think the parking lot waxwings are more the city type. They are clearly a lot less scared of people. They've figured out that they can have their berries and not be bothered by people....except for those of us "crazies" who must stop what we are doing and take pictures of them.
