Is this lighter bird a Eurasian albino or a Turtle dove? I have about 15 who visit and only one who looks like this. It's eyes also appear red. Thanks!

She is a little smaller than the others also.

That is a dove with leucism, albino is no pigmentation, this guy just has a diluted pigmintation, very cool

i had a leucistic dove last year.. i wonder if i can find the thread.. looks similar but i remember looking it up and finding the Eurasian Dove and otheres.

will look for thread.. see if these two look alike.

i think your photo is better than mine..

i referred to mine as akin to the photos of the Sasquatch..kinda a mist photo from the distance with the likeness of a dove.. he he.

here are two threads you might be interested in.

Thanks Duckwatcher and Alice. I hadn't thought about color dilution. She does has a light cream in her coloring. Just a thought...if she was albino would her neck ring be white also?

I also have leucistic Eurasian Collared Doves in "my" flock, who visit the yard daily.
That is certainly who your visitors are also.

Nice pictures, however in Colombia these would be used in medicinal soup.

Because they are doves or because the one is leucistic? What would they be used to cure or fight? I'm just full of questions!
