We went down to Stone Harbor and Cape May today. First stop was at the point in SH. I think these are Sanderlings, their so adorable you just want to scoop them up and take them home.
Here's a Herring Gull with a crab.
Next stop was the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor.I think this is a Double-crested Cormorant.
Forsters Tern- We also saw many Dunlins.
Down in Cape May Pointe State Park here are some Canada Geese but to be truthful there wasn't much around.
Snowy Egret
Everyone was watching these type of Hawks on the platform.
Sorry for so many pics. The End

Great pictures! Regarding double crested cormorants, they have become a real problem on Lake Champlain (New York and Vermont),killing all the vegetation on the islands where they nest, and thereby keeping other birds from a nesting site. The islands where they are have become wastelands.
Hi Mike, I didn't personally see any warblers but did hear others saying they had seen them. I did talk to a man who said he saw a Nelsons Sharp-tailed Sparrow.
