Butter butt having a bath.

A group of Yellow-rumped Warblers came through and some went to the pond for water and some to the bird bath, I got this picture through the kitchen window, you ever notice that even though they have there motor running and water is spraying they hold there head perfectly still so they can still see clearly around them, makes it great for taking pictures at lower shutter speeds.

Right now the fall birds are showing up, Fox Sparrows, Steller's Jays, Golden-crowned Sparrows are passing through, lots of woodpeckers including the yellow shafted intergrade Flicker that shows up every fall, Junco's all over the lawn some Purple Finches and lots of the regular Chickadee's, Towhees, Song Sparrows and Nuthatches.

We also had frost three times this week, I think its pretty early.

Ahh. Your usual great pictures! I had a butter butt here in my bird bath last week, but I haven't seen it since. Of course I may not be looking out the window at the right time.
