After having dozens of Green Jays in the spring , I didn't see any in the summer, but this morning I heard one and I jumped out of my chair to look out the window and I saw 2 . It's not a great picture but I wanted to share.

Very cool bird. I belive this bird has avian pox, most of his right foot is gone due to the virus poor fella

DW, looks to me like the foot is curled tight around the wire - you think there should be more poking out and visible no matter how tightly he's gripping?

Jill,

Look how long his nails are on the left foot, I could be wrong but it seems he's lacking said nails on the right foot. I cannot imagine being able to hide those long toenails LOL. I hope I am wrong tho.

I think we'd have to blow the picture up a bit - and right now I can't see it at all (broken page icon instead). I thought I could see one of the nails curled around, but honestly, I can't tell.
