Major cool Sarah!

What is the tree with the red berries he is in and do they eat the berries?

Thanks Jean and Ruth,

I think the berries might be crabapples or winterberries. It was taken at Okehocking Preserve. My guess is they do eat the berries as well as seeds and bugs. It might be a cherry or hackberry or viburnum. But I think it's a crabapple

Hmmph...

Everybody gets so many different kinds of Warblers, and we only ever see Yellow-rumps... (which we love of course... but...
Your crab apples look quite similar to the "cherries" on our Indian Magic Tree btw.

good capture,

Thanks Kenn. It could be a cherry tree, I just assumed it was a crabapple because the cherry trees usually are ripe in May and June. This was taken at a preserve about ten miles away from my house.

We only get Palm warblers in early spring and late fall migrating through I think they breed near Lorena and Jill and possibly Ruth and Martin. They just pass through here.
