Blue-Headed Vireo

This beauty hit our window a couple of days ago. After ensuring he was just stunned we gently placed him on a low feeder and eventually he flew off.

They are such beautiful birds - I'm glad it was OK. Do you have any decals on your windows to help prevent window strikes? They now make ones that are visible in UV light and very obvious to birds, but not to humans - here's a link if you need it:

How Pretty!! im happy he was ok!! I have spring fever already and put up my bluebird box and 2 wren houses. one shaped like a hat and the other a traditional style which is hanging under my eves. I also put up my martin house yesterday. So come on Spring!!!!!!. . . lol It is only what 2 months away. . .. hee hee
