Coopers Hawk

This mature Coopers moved in last week, the immature that was hanging around before that hasn't been seen since.

I have seen him take a few Pine Siskins, the ones that stay at the feeder eating after all the other birds have left.

He launched from here and smack, picked a Pine Siskin off the feeder.

I agree with your id on this one Martin, he appears to have the "cap" of a Cooper's and in that third one you can see the flat head sharpe very nicely...All I want to know is how you get them to land with such a clean BG?? wink.gif Super shots!! happy.gif
