So only recently have I started having a new visitor...a downy woodpecker. He loves my suet and also drinks from the birdbath from time to time.
Anyway, as I was watching him further today...he is just so darned cute!!! Just the way he moves about...and I always see him alone. The way he pecks away...and for some reason, I guess cuz of all the noise they can make, and the way they can ferociously peck away, I just assumed they'd be larger for some reason. But he's actually quite small!
