Parasitism

I imagine many of you have observed small songbird feeding a Bronze-headed Cowbird chic at one time or another. Itīs no different here. At the moment I have a Rufous-collared Sparrow running itself ragged feeding a Shiney Cowbird chick almost ywice itīs size.

Yes I've seen quite a few birds doing that, right now on the reserve I go to, they are trapping them in a big cage, I don't know what happens after that.
