Yesterday while looking out the dining room windows I noticed a bunch of dried grass hanging out of the Dwarf Alberta Spruce that is planted nearby. This nest is about 2' from the ground in the tree. I thought maybe it might be a Chipping Sparrow but since it was later in the day nest building seemed to be finished for the day. This morning I went to watch out the window to get a look at the bird who is building this nest and was pleasantly surprised to see that instead of a Chipping Sparrow it is in fact a Song Sparrow. The pictures were taken through a double glass window which I am shamed to say is a little dirty. I don't know much about Song Sparrows but I am not going to go and look into the nest until she lays an egg I will then take a few pictures.

The bird exites the tree at a different spot than entering.
