Before using relaxers, my hair was naturally wavy and would curl when danmp or wet. I've been relaxing my hair for about 10 years now, and I would like to have them curly again. Is there a product that can make my hair "permanently" curly, I want to stop putting relaxers in my hair and get a curly look. My hair is medium-length and I wouln't want to cut them, just have them curly and not straight !
my natural hair is super duper curly. I relaxed it for liek 2 years or so. last time i got a relaxer was july 2002 cuz i wanted my natural hair back. a big mistake i did was get my hair permed, keeping in mind that a perm is getting it permanently curly and not straight. its a big no-no to get ur hair permed on top of a relaxer. my hairstyler said my hair would fall off. Luckily it didnt, but it just got more damaged, which didnt help anythin. i understand u wantin to get it curly while u grow it out. I say just leave it alone. the less chemicals the healthier. and if ur gonna start over again, u might as well do it rite.
what i do while im in this middle pahse is wear it in a bun. i dont blow dry it, or press it or anythin because heat damages it, and i really want healthy hair. i blow dry it when i NEED to, like for an interview, or a special event. but otherwise, nothin else. grease and conditioner is a must. as well as trimming it. cuttin away bad ends helps so that the split doesnt run all the way up the length of the hair. gel helps to keep frizzies down, gives me a more slick look. its grown a lot since i last relaxed it, i plan on cuttin all my relaxed ends this summer.
