PRESIDENT-ELECT RECEIVES CHINESE BUSINESSMEN
YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS: On March 22 president-elect, prime minister Serzh Sarkisian received a group of Chinese businessmen from China's Xinjiang-Uygur autonomous province.
The government press office said Gagik Tsarukian, chairman of the Prosperous Armenia party and Tigran Sarkisian, Central Bank governor, were present at the meeting.
Chinese businessmen were led by Jang Jen, head of economic cooperation department of the Chinese province who was quoted as saying that the province intends to strengthen and develop ties with Armenia and invest into Armenian economy, particularly, into mining and metallurgy.
Serzh Sarkisian welcomed their intention saying that Armenia's political and economic ties with China were strengthening year after year.
