President Of Armenia Meets The Governor Of Yaroslavl

President Serzh Sargsyan Today Received The Governor Of Yaroslavl Region Of The Russian Federation, Sergey Vakhrukov.

A Memorandum of Cooperation in the trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural spheres was signed between the Governments of Armenias Atmavir marz and Yaroslavl Region of Russia during Russian President Dmitry Medvedevs visit to Armenia in October 2008.

Hailing the dynamically developing cooperation between Armenia and Russia in most different fields, President Sargsyan stressed the necessity of reinforcing ties and expanding cooperation between territorial administration units of the two countries. He welcomed Governor Vakhrukovs initiative of creating conditions for active business contacts between Armenia and Yaroslavl region.

According to the President, Yaroslavl and Armavir are actively cooperating, and have a great potential for expanding the framework of collaboration. Representations will be opened in both regions to promote the exchange of information and cooperation.
