Syrian President To Pay Official Visit To Armenia

SYRIAN PRESIDENT TO PAY OFFICIAL VISIT TO ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 16, ARMENPRESS: At the invitation of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al Assad with his spouse will pay a two-day official visit to Armenia June 17.

Presidential press service told Armenpress that on the same day the two presidents will have a face-to-face meeting, after which the extended meeting of delegations will take place and a number of inter-governmental agreements will be signed. Armenian and Syrian presidents will give a joint press conference.

Within the framework of the official visit the Syrian President will meet with Armenian NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, will be hosted by His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

On June 18 with the participation of the Armenian and Syrian presidents the opening ceremony of the Armenian-Syrian business forum will take place.

During his visit Syrian President will also visit Matenadaran and on June 18 will depart from Armenia.
