Response to Re: Two Nice Early Timex Watches, Norm

Thanks for the reply Dorsey and Bill.. good information..

Now the black one says on the dial 'Made in U.S.A.'.
When I tick on the back it sounds hollow (there is a movement wink.gif
and it says on the back 'US Time Cooperation'. and some more..
(rounded around the corner of the back.)

When I open the back of the black watch there is no stamp inside. only 'Great Brittain'.
I cant find any number on the movement eighter from this sight.

What i would like to know is, even when the watch was made in 'U.S.A' or 'Great Brittain' at that time
the front would say 'Made in U.S.A' ? Or did Timex ship movements and casing between country's?

Actualy what is leading? The front or the back regarding production of the watch?

I think the back doesnt below to this watch then? although it fits like a charm..

The other watch has a little different back.. which I cant open yet..
Perhpas you have a clue on you to open it? (I think you have.. wink.gif

here is the picture.. unfortuantly the back ist as nice as the front as the
watches are very censetive to wear..
