Say the magic word...

not bad....yes Gummo was named for his gum sole shoes.... I have long been a fan, from as far back as I can recall watching marx Brothers movies on channel 9 WPIX....or better yet on the occasionl channel 13 speical preview.

I have a few movie stills of the brothers which hung on my office wall for many many years... also have an album collection I stole...'I meant to say borrowed' but never returned.... This is of his radio show during the 40's.

now the jewel of my audio collection is his concert at Cargnie Hall. A night with Groucho.... a must have for any fan.... yes I paid for that one....

One of my favorite songs is Lidia the tattoed lady! and of course there is the Fathers day song. in which Groucho sings 'today is fathers day and we have bought you a tie' because according to our mother' you are our father! and that's good enough for us!!!

Okay one last interesting note.....Captian Spalding was his TV theme song.....but the movie was stuck in legal issues for decades....was eventually relaesed 30- 40 years after being made..... all of thier moives were based on thier on stage shows....

yes time to watch 'Coconuts' .....why a duck, why no a chicken!
