I won't need it this time, but I'll still get some.

Mo solved the problem. The circuit board for the digital component sits on top of the movement battery.
I had tried to take it apart, but had missed one of the screws & gave up when the board wouldn't come off.
However I just tried again, & all is well, back in action now.
