on dial and case signatures can be daunting, but if you Google on "cyrillic alphabet" and take the graphical links, there's a direct equivalents guide to the letters. With a wee tad of head scratching and ingenuity, you can figger out most inscriptions from that happy.gif I keep a copy of the equivalents charts handy, but it doesn't take long to recognise "Automatic" or "Made in USSR"
