Thanks for that info. I have managed to get the movement stripped down per the service manual although I am going to have to give a bit of thought to getting the Day/Date mechanism sorted out. It wan't working correctly and it seemed to have parted company with its correct seating. A good look at the diagrams should get me going.
The movement is very dirty and tends to stop when I move it about. I reckon it's gummed up!
If I apply oil to the pivots where they pass through the bridge(s) and dial rest, will capillary action draw the oil to where it is needed? I'm all in favour of not removing more than I have to!
