Unknown piece of timex 685

Hi everybody,

I opened a timex 685 to replace the battery, but for the sake of curiosity I extracted all the mechanism from the case and... oops just like an elephant in a porcelain shop I lost the position of the little piece you see in the picture. Anybody knows where it goes?
