I found a small watch repair place very close to my work today. I was in chatting to the guy and perusing what he had for sale.
This USSR Sekonda mechanical alarm caught my eye and is was so cheap, it would have been rude to leave it behind!
It's very similar to my Poljot, which I bought from Norm a while back. I actually thought they had the same shaped case but now that I have them together I can see they are slightly different.
I cleaned up the Sekonda tonight and polished the crystal. Here they are together, both have the same movement, which I believe is a Russian copy of an AS1475 movement.
I must not start collecting mechanical alarms!
