I'm trying to identify a Timex watch I owned in the '80s. It was purchased during 1984-85 and was relatively cheap (in the £10-£20 range). The watch itself was lost many years ago and I would very much like to acquire another but this is very difficult without knowing the name of the model. I've provided a few descriptive points below in the hope that someone will recognise the watch in question.
-Analogue with white hands.
-The watch face and housing were black with a black resin/plastic strap.
-A gold Timex logo formed the "12".
-I'm pretty sure it didn't display the date.
-Unfortunately, I can't remember the style of numerals. The main points were possibly symbols rather than actual Roman/Arabic numbers.
It's not the model shown in this commercialhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-LAYBiREGo
, but is similar.
I realise this is all a bit vague, but I thought posting here was worth a try. I've endeavoured to track down a Timex trade catalogue from this era, but to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any help.
