Hank Williams said it best "no matter how you struggle and strive, you'll never get out of this world alive"
I am in my 79th year and according to modern thinking should not be alive. I grew up with second hand smoke from 2 parents that went through 2-3 pack a day, I smoked cigars and a pipe for years before I chose to stop on a bet. (Scot stubborness
) I lived in houses with lead paint, My schools and houses had asbestos, I worked at a job filing lead sleeves with no protection and a job with cyanide powders, I drove cars with no seatbelts, I drink coffee, I eat whatever I feel like without regard to sugar, fats, or whatevers.
People don't believe my age when they meet and see me. I have been attended to by a doctor less times than the fingers on my hands, in my lifetime. I have had a nuclear stress test and while I have elevated cholesterol, my arteries and valves are fine but I have a bad left bundle branch (an electrical problem). I had cataracts removed at 72. I take no,0, nada medications including aspirin or other pain relievers or supplements. I have had a great life but realize I am not, nor is anyone here, immortal. At close to 80 I do not worry about my future but enjoy the moment. I don't care to live to be 100 if it means I am a dottering old fool needing to be attended to constantly. Worrying about EVERY thing in life will cause stress that will also hasten your demise.
Everyone is free to choose what they wish to do and what they want to put in THEIR body.
LIVE LIFE, you only get to experience it once.
