Vintage - Unique Band Restore

This band was installed on a recently purchased watch. But is was all gunked so I began to clean it up. Problem was it had leather inserts which quickly began to peel and fake away when wet. So I tossed it in the "one day I'll get around to it pile".

Than last night I was going through some items to toss out and came across an old wallet. Bam, this leather would be great for the restore. It took about one hour and I think is was well spent. I have vintage Benrus getting a new crystal installed and this should be a great fit for it.
