      what i call my easy reader is, in fact, plastic, so i guess it falls into the hereditary line of the camper like you suggest. i started scuba diving in monterey california in '64 and would have loved to have a dive watch like yours. suunto dive computers give out great info, but i still stick to mechanicals: watch, depth guage and compass. no need for temperature readings, because the water there has only small fluxuations between 50 and 51 fahrenheit (10-11 celcius) all year 'round, and if i can't figure out the decompression charts without a computer i shouldn't be out there. on the other hand my navy seal instructor in the early '70s wore a dive computer and i was jealous. go figure. tim
