Found this Timex Electric at a yard sale this morning. It was in a box of "junk jewelry" in sad condition. It was dead and dirty and had no band but the case appeared to be OK under the grunge and tarnish and the dial looked fine. I bought it for 2 bucks.

I cleaned the battery contact and put in a fresh battery and it sprang to life. Then I cleaned and polished the case and crystal and added an old Speidel band of similar vintage that I had on hand.

The watch runs fine now. Looks pretty good too for an old-timer. happy.gif
