Dear forum members,
I think many of you have started their interest in Timex, because you have one at younger ages. For some reasons I remembered that I did have also a Timex as a 6 year old boy and now I am trying to find the model of that time.
Actually I found a picture that matches my memory of that specific watch.
Could you please tell me the model number/identification and any details you may have? Please us this link for an image www.aircards.de/search/timex_pic.jpg
I would also apreciate if you could give me hint who or where I can get this watch.

Thanks for your support.
Greetings from Germany,

Christian

The photo you are showing is a 1981 Marlin #28131. The wave symbol for water resistant was added at that time. It also is a little uncommon because of the black case. The only place to find one would be on ebay unless you could find an ownert willing to sell you one.

Your basic info on Timex watches (more)

October 30 2009, 1:52 PM

can be had by looking at the numbers on either side of the six on the dial. The numbers to the left comprise the catalog number. Someone with the proper catalog could tell you the model name, movement info, original strap, etc.

The numbers to the right of the six are the movement number and the year of manufacture. The last two numbers are the year, the ones to the left are the movement number.

There isn't usually very much information available on your average Timex beyond that but the official history textbook is sometimes helpful.
