Here is one of my 1950's Black Dialed Viscount. I just matched it with an NOS chromed mess band. It is going out for a spin today.

Those TX models are great looking. I was eying them at the Time Factory this past weekend. they are availbe for about $150.00 . MSPR is about $700 +. Maybe next time.

That is it hit me why I find the black dial / lumed hand and marker combination so attractive.

Aside from great readibility, there is a sort of symbolism to this color combination.

The black dial represents SPACE and the lumed hands / markers represent, of course, TIME. That's it. They represent both Space AND Time combined which is the basis of our cosmos!
