Well Mo, some are definitely glued on. Used a soldering iron to heat the back and pryed up the cover with a wooden dowel in the battery slot. Came rite off. These watches had an extra milling factor where they cut out a slot and the cover fit right in,they don't do that anymore. Cleaned it outside first, battery contacts where coated, cleaned with a q-tip and alcohol and air spray, new battery and a flick in the balance wheel and off it went. I used the small vise to push the cover back on and that alone is pretty tight fit. Now all I need to do is find a drug store that has bands and get one, the other bands I have are a little too wide. The fact that the electrics have a loud ticking unlike the regular quartz, ya gotta love it!

Mo, if the watches you have there are a #69 or 71 movement, I would remove the crystal first just in case it gets a little too hot. it almost looks like they used an air dry lock-tite and I used a good size Weller soldering iron to heat the cover quicker..

you know, I thought it mite be a model 69 but, a closer look of the dial only displayed "Tai wan", as in Taiwane TX.!(LOL) I'll have to check with a gauge..
On the ladies case cover, if there a#69 movement, I took the crystal off first, just in case it got a little too hot. Didn't want to distort the crystal..
