Bling is not my thing.....

But for this one, I'll make an exception. This 1972 Model 77760 was produced at the dawn of the Disco era and probably went very well with a pastel leisure suit. I guess that it went out of style quickly, and got more drawer time than wrist time. That may explain its excellent state of preservation, including its original band.

some of the watches made by Corum.

However, I don't think it would be described as "bling". That term usually describes watches whose bezels hold an excess of rhinestones (or diamonds if you're rich!) that are intended to blindingly scintillate when viewed under point light sources such as in restaurants, casinos, discos, etc.

I've always gravitated toward mesh and woven bands, but had some "bad" experiences with the metal mesh bands in the past. They are fine until they start to unravel and begin to catch one's sleeve or even cut their skin. The next best thing, comfortwise, to a metal mesh band are those "panther" link steel bracelets that are popular in Italy. They have up to 7 individual links across the width of the bracelet and easily wrap around one's wrist. They aren't cheap, though.
