I use a digital caliper to measure the diameter of the crystal and usually buy mine from Esslingers.com. A typical round wedge-ledge high dome from Stella runs about $2.95 and the G&S brand are around $4.00 I think. I usually use the Stella brand.

Hint, when I order crystals I will usually order the size I measured, then the next smaller and the next larger sizes....just to be sure. I end up using them eventually. You can get a pretty good caliper for around $15.00 if you don't have one.

Hi Paul, I believe the correct size for that model is a 30.7mm. When I can't find a 30.7mm I use a 30.6 and it seems to work fine as the expansion ring holds it well. Hope that helps

Mr.Hany said he believed the size was 30.7....you may want to double check the size just to be sure. I couldn't find the 30.7 either but that doesn't mean it's not out there, some of the Timex crystals seem to be only Timex and hard to find. I had an older Marlin that I just couldn't get any crystal to fit, my Timex guy Fred got an authentic Timex to fit just fine.

one seller told me to order the size of the opening. i just ordered a few from the cousinsuk. they have a good shape selection, but some are available only in even sizes measured in tenths of a millimeter. since some are in uneven sizes i ordered the next smaller. i'll let you know the results. they should be here this week. one interesting thing is that the openings are not round. my digital caliper shows up to 0.8mm differece measuring at different places in the same opening, and it's rare to find one exactly the same everywhere down to a hundredth. tim
