1972 Quartz wood grain dial

Just finished this unique Timex quartz. It has the numbers 9765 16272 Was wondering if anyone knows the scoop on this one. I have never seen a Timex movement quite like it.

That is the kind of watch that I would have liked to have on while I be wearing me Tom McAnn Gunstock loafers. I bet no one remembers those! I have to say that one is a definite keeper Pat. The dial seemed to hold up pretty well for the age and looks like it was stored well and not exposed to intense heat and sunlight.. nice..

That is a very interesting watch you have there. Even the case is different, I noticed the cut out for the crown that looks like a Seiko chrono I have from 1969....never seen a Timex with that case.

1972 is very early for a quartz. The movements changed all the time but it's not one I've seen before.
