Hi Matt,
Thanks very much for contacting SJGR. We'll be happy to give you some pointers. In fact, the web address I am giving you will have every single little thing you need to know about how to conduct a safe paranormal investigation:
http://www.ghosthunting101.com/
This site was developed by SJGR director Dave Juliano. All the information found here are the protocols SJGR uses for our investigations.
As for the cemetery, make sure to check if there are "No Trespassing", "Private Property", or other signs to indicate you are not to be allowed access. These are places you either cannot enter, or need permission from the owner. If there are no signs, generally this means it is open for you to enter onto the property. You can contact the local police department and let them know you will be out there conducting an investigation, but even so, if a patrol officer stops and asks you to leave, do so immediately. It's also a good idea never to go anywhere alone. This is for your own personal safety. If you trip and fall, or otherwise hurt yourself, having someone else there will help you get the medical attention you may require in a timely manner.
Hope this answers your questions. Feel free to contact us at any time if you need more information.
Be safe!

We also do fund raisers for the Gabreil Daveis Tavern in Glendora NJ. I know this is in Gloucester Twp, which is kind of on the border of Camden County. The last scheduled event for them is Oct 24th at 9pm, but keep checking the site to see if more dates are added come the Spring of 2010.
i am haveing dead people come to me in my dreams and i can feel them and talk to them i dont know what to do i am skard to death of them and they wont leave me alone
Hi Stephanie,
One thing you want to do before you go to sleep is what we call setting your boundaries.
Say firmly and calmly, but not with fear or anger, "I need to rest. I don't want you to talk to me while I am sleeping. Please leave me alone." Say whatever feels right for you, but this is just one suggestion. It's more the intention you are setting--that you refuse to communicate with them and want them to leave you alone while you sleep--that is important.
It might take some time for this to work (or it may work right away), but keep it up. You don't know how long it takes the spirits to "hear" you, or you may be getting different spirits come to visit you and these new visitors don't know the rules.
Any time you don't want a spirit to do something, tell them. Day or night, they have no right to bother you if you don't want them to.
Setting the boundary before you go to sleep tho, will give you the time to put yourself in a positive frame of mind (put yourself in your "happy place" or think of something that makes you feel really great about yourself), and then with this in mind, say aloud your boundary.
If it's within your belief system, you can also ask your deceased loved ones, angels, spirit guides, etc. to keep these spirits away from you while you are sleeping.
Something else you can do (while still setting your boundaries) is imagine there's a big bubble of white, gold, or purple light around you that is impenetrable and will keep anything you don't want from getting to you while you sleep. Take a few minutes each night and imagine your bubble, feel it, imagine what it can be made from, see yourself touching it. You can even imagine something on the outside trying to get in, and your bubble preventing it. This exercise will help your unconscious block out anything you don't want to bother you while you are sleeping and your defenses are lowered. Again, this is something that may take a little time, but keep at it.
Hope these suggestions work for you. Feel free to contact SJGR directly if you need more assistance.
