Get your facts straight before running off at the mouth.
ISA told Randell that they will give him an ISA Birth just like they are doing for the Northern ISA State. Why do you think they changed it to Northern ISA State? Both will be state tournaments for ISA. I know it sounds crazy but that is what ISA is doing to offset the fact that they screwed Randell over with this whole deal. According the "ISA CEO" he was unaware that when he took over Randell was the ISA State Director. They are still looking for one because this is the last year that Randell will have anything to do with ISA.

Since Randell has been "screwing over" ISA for years with his lack-luster effort, do you honestly think he was treated unfairly???

To the liars and haters a brief pause please and go to the MS ISA website - http://isamississippi.com and click on Directors you will find Randell Arender. Go back to the home page and under Tournament Center click on Adult Slow Pitch you will find the Southern State Tournament listed. Now you can go back to telling your lies and continue your hating. Sad.

If you would read above it says "They are still looking for one because this is the last year that Randell will have anything to do with ISA."

What part of that did you not understand?

Cracks me up, you probably havent ever even played ISA. Your buddy is being groomed to be the next one. He's the golden boy. This is stupid.

I don't know Randell at all. Never seen him, wouldn't know him if he walked up right now. Don't know if he's a great Christian guy, or if they things we've heard about him are true. But I will tell you this about Jeremy Epting/Peanut, you will not find a better person in softball anywhere. He is as humble as they come, and I can GUARANTEE you that he is not involved in all this bashing. We players up north have bitched about ASA for years, Peanut decided to step up and do something about it. You can praise Randell all you want, and I have nothing negative to say about him, but it's obvious -to us north players anyways- that he hasn't done anything to promote ISA anywhere up here. Maybe he does alot of wonderful things for ISA in the central/south part of the state, but we've seen no results here. I've played for almost 20 years, and for me to tell you that I don't even know what Randell looks like should speak volumes to what he has done to promote ISA in the northern part of Mississippi. I don't care if Donald Trump or Flava Flav is the ISA director, I just want somebody that will put some effort into their job.

Let me clarify, when I said "golden boy" I meant that he was being groomed, by a lot of north MS folks, to take over. Thats all. No sarcasm at all. I dont know that guy and wouldnt talk trash about an associations director anyway. "My daddy will kick yo daddy's a$$ all the way back to China or Bejing or wherever the %^&* he's from"

The only stance I've taken on this issue is to leave the guy's skelly's in his closet. Nobody needs or wants that stuff on the internet.

But 6, don't you think it's alittle hypocritical that NOW he wants to step up and do his job, now that he feels "threatened," when he's been sitting on his ass for years? That has nothing to do with his personal life, that's about his job as an ISA director. And if it's true that he can't operate a computer, well that's just damn sad; join the freakin' 21st century, you can't have a job like that and not be computer literate.

How come you Randell haters don't throw some of that slime toward the NSA and USSSA State Directors? Have they promoted their associations up North? I know the northern players want something else besides ASA up there but all this slamming on Randell like the ISA was the only other choice you had is what is sounding so ridiculous. I'm sure the new people will do a good job with ISA and ya'll will be happy....for a while. Just try to back off the hater talk. It is not necessary.

Re: Mississippi Southern ISA State Tournament

May 29 2008, 3:27 PM

Well let's look at how the bashing got started: it was from someone trying to promote ISA up here. Nobody was trying to start NSA or USSSA up here, if so maybe those director's names would've came up. And even when ISA was first being talked about up here, nobody was bashing Randell; "somebody" started saying that the new directors were trying to undermind Randell and stab him in the back. THAT'S WHAT GOT IT ALL STARTED. Somebody actually first started the bashing by slamming the new directors for trying to do something. That's when people started on Randell. And other than him being called a drunk, I haven't seen anything else about his personal life mentioned, just that he doesn't do his job as a Director.

You can start with this one. This thread was started to inform those that may be interested that there would be an ISA Southern State. No mention of the Northern State or bashing of the Northern Directors. Then all the sudden it turns into a Randell hate thread. I can see now that there is no reasoning with the haters so I will shut up. But for those non haters that are interested, we would love to have you come a play in the Southern ISA State.

Re: Mississippi Southern ISA State Tournament

May 29 2008, 5:52 PM

I think the whole thing got started because there was a "state tournament" being held in Tupelo, of all places. That in itself is crazy. I know we've been over that and its all good as far as I'm concerned.

From there it went to "Randell isnt the state director, just a drunk" which, in my opinion is dumb... on both accounts. Apparently he IS the state director, the rest doesnt really matter.

At this point there is hardly anyone even complaining about the new guy(s), but we are still talking about Randell's personal issues.

Just one more thing...
He may not be the "director of the year" in the ISA world, but he isnt doing anything this year that hasnt been done in the past, so why would I agree that its hypocritical? Not one thing is different. He's hosted the state tournament and offered births and sent in info and some of your teammates, if you'd ask the ones that have been around a little while, will probably tell you they've played in the ISA in Jackson a few times.

If the new guy brings some sort of resurgance to MS softball through ISA, then more power to him and attaboy for our state. The problem with MS softball can be found by looking no further than this website. It's a great idea, but when people can bash without saying who they are, then idiots will kill softball. Have you ever seen a year where the previous 20-25 team tournaments now only get about 13, if they're lucky? Have you ever seen so much crying and running from tournaments? Bat Bashing? Player bashing? lies?

As has already been posted in this thread, according to official ISA info, there are going to be TWO MS ISA State Tournaments this year, one in Tupelo and one in Jackson.

As for where everybody else's ISA sanctioning fees went over the years, I can't say. But, a couple years ago when we went to ISA D World in PCB, FL, they had no problems at all accepting our roster that was signed by Randall, nor did they ask us for any sanctioning fees either.

Let Me Try And Clear This Up

July 4 2008, 4:47 AM

"ISA told Randell that they will give him an ISA Birth just like they are doing for the Northern ISA State. Why do you think they changed it to Northern ISA State? Both will be state tournaments for ISA. I know it sounds crazy but that is what ISA is doing to offset the fact that they screwed Randell over with this whole deal. They are still looking for one because this is the last year that Randell will have anything to do with ISA."

Now, I would like nothing better than to see this thread get back on topic, but I feel like I need to respond to this anonymous poster on behalf of the ISA. ISA did give Mississippi a Northern and a Southern ISA State Tournament, but it has nothing to do with the fact that ISA supposedly screwed Mr. Arender over. As far as the "ISA CEO" not being aware of the State Director, there is a reason for that. I will not further elaborate on Mr. Arender as I do not know him and I want to remain professional about this on behalf of the ISA. Currently, there is not a state director in Mississippi. The ISA National Office is acting as the State Director until they name one. Now, it very well could be Mr. Arender, Mr. Epting, Mr. Robinson, or anyone else for that matter. Mississippi ISA has roots now, and they will bring a quality product to the field now and in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to notify your Mississippi ISA Directors or the ISA National Office. Good luck to all teams and as always, thanks for playing ISA!!!

Only way you're going to get a list of E teams is to show up Saturday and right them down off of the bracket. If you're scared, just say so.
