RED (no login) | Re: new teams | June 30 2008, 10:30 AM |
thats funny. I could care less what people think about our team. we just got started this year and we have only made 2 tourneys. But we competed in both against some nice teams. we step on the field with one thing in mind and that is winning. if we lose it wasnt because we gave up like alot of teams i know. so to whoever mentioned us as a good new team thank you, we appreciate it. and to who ever said get off the crack...get a life. |

Flat City, are yall planning on playing ASA or ISA state? |
|
Guest (no login) | Re: new teams | June 30 2008, 11:28 AM |
Red.....I thought you played with shadetree? I saw you at the falkner tourney with both teams, and then this weekend with shadetree at booneville. Flat city was pretty good though. |
|
RED (no login) | Re: new teams | June 30 2008, 1:26 PM |
We mainly play ASA. We threw this team together and our first tourney was the Relay for Life in New Albany. We finished 3rd and we played good ball so we decided that we would try and keep this team together. We are still in the process of weeding out players, of course. And a couple of key players are grown and have kids and family to tend to which is understandable. When everyone has a chance thats when we enter tourneys. We took 2nd place at Falkner and we played pretty good ball that day. When Flat City isn't playing Yes i do go and play with kevin and the shadetree boys. They are a fun bunch of guys to play with and they love the game and love to have fun. But if we can keep everyone going with Flat City we should be able to compete in some good tourneys. |

that team shadetree bunch is a joke they dont need to play in a booneville tourny they need to play in topsy or stay in falkner not where there is competition, but just a family or community softball game.Who the he** is kevin. |

So your another one of those guys that will leave the team they started with and go play with a so called better team. |
|
RED (no login) | Re: new teams | June 30 2008, 10:59 PM |
No. This is my first year to play softball and we called up a few folks from around town and started the Flat City team. And I was asked to play with Shadetree and I will play with them when my original team isn't playing. |

that shadetree bunch put an azz whoopin on a couple of teams that was in booneville so what you got to say about that? |
|
Guest (no login) | Re: new teams | July 1 2008, 7:43 AM |
I play for shadetree and what the hell does it matter which team he plays for? he plays with us when he can and he plays with flat city whenever they play. whenever the whole shadetree bunch is together and playing to the best of their ability, there is not an E team in the north that can swing with them. We all are grown and have jobs and families, we just get together on weekends and play ball to have fun. We dont sit around all during the week on here trying to say we are the best around and we did this or we did that this weekend, we just play ball and have fun. but if thats all you people have to do is sit around and downgrade teams that has never talked trash or claimed to be great, we practice at falkner park at 6:30 every wednesday, we might not be the best at softball but I bet you dont have enough hairs on your nuts to come down and say it to the team. so sit your punk azz in front of your computer and type away, when you think you are man enough come on down one night and I will see what your about. |

LMAO, wow, somebody is really bitter about those guys leaving! That is about the 30th post on several different threads about how MMG "doesn't care" and "is better off" that those guys left. For MMG not to care, they sure do seem to bring it up alot!

Darren (no login) | NO HARD FEELINGS | July 7 2008, 3:43 PM |
to my knowledge no one has any hard feelings toward the three guys that left,
I wish them good luck and hope they are happy where ever they end up.
As far As MMG team they will be changing to Auto Spa who has offered some financial support.
Us changing names or uniforms has nothing to do with those three guys leaving as well.
I personally like all three guys, and wish the best for them. |

Darren, are yall planning on playing in ISA and ASA states? |
|
Guest (no login) | Re: new teams | July 7 2008, 4:25 PM |
We have discussed playing both, but have not got anything concreted down. We did lose those three players that were good ball players, which threw a kink in the plans.
We have had 4 other guys that have said they were joining the team, but have not yet have had a weekend with everyone there, since these guys leaving just transpired the weekend of the 27 and 28th of June. Then it was 4th of July.
We are hosting a Tournament this weekend the 12th in Columbus, so we will probably have a pick up team in this one as well just to see how these guys play.
I have played or have seen 2 of the three play and do not have to worry about those but would still like to see the other 2 play.
one from Nashville, another from Hernando, another from Pontotoc, and another from Alabama, we also have a guy that just moved back into the area from Tampa Florida, that played Baseball and went to college but hurt his knee and has not played in ten years and will be rusty starting out.
But to answer your question we have discussed it and I plan on doing all we can do.
We should do good but time will tell and as long as we are having fun and winning some games we will be OK.
Curious WHY you ask? |

I know it was a yes or no question!!! Just wanted to be informative for those that are keeping tabs. (like it matters)
But there seems to be a lot of concerned people out there that just won't let 3 players leaving a ball team die. This kind of stuff has been happening as long as I have been playing (A LONG TIME)over 23 years.
It's just another day for me, only thing is I was the one the responsibility's of running the team fell upon.
Like I have mentioned before, I, nor anyone else on the team to my knowledge has any hard feelings, and wish the guys the best of luck. Me personally, I think they all are good guys and consider them friends.
This kind of stuff happens to teams every year there are teams that totally break up, but let something happen to this team and you would think ELVIS had come back to life (LOL).
We will be playing and hope we can pull things together to be one of the many good contending teams in the area.

four players from breazeal logging are breakin out and doing their own team for next year. should come out pretty strong with the new players. a lot of guys out there dont have much respect for any of the players from that team. i have said it once and ill say it again, just because jeremy is a piece of work doesnt make the whole team liars and/or as sorry as he is. i have played with that team and there are a few guys on that team who have potential and are very respectable players. good luck to those four who are gettin this new team together. give em hell | |
