We are planning to have a video game tournament day at my church. We are doing this to have an awesome activity day for all the gamers in our area. And all the proceeds will go to Team Vision Sports Ministry. But I have been out of the gaming arena for some time now. I know alot of the kids have the hand helds with wireless. But most of the older gamers still use the PC and Playstation.

We are wanting some ideas of different games that we could have a tournament with. I use to own a store in Amory and we had a football tourney one day. And Andy Harmon kicked everybodys rear that day. But we had a blast.

Maybe have different tourneys allocated to different time slots.

Any ideas??? And remember, games must be ok'd by God...

we would have college football tournies where it was double elim. each player got to choose a p 25 team and a terrible team and put them in a hat.each player chose 2 you may get 2 good teams or 2 bad teams, challenge was on. we would put 5-10 in a pot winner took all

NCAA 2010 OR MADDEN 2010 would be great games....keep it posted and I'll get in it

Johnny use a PS3 or Xbox 360 choose 1 sport game and 1 shooter game...The most popular would be NCAA or Madden and the shooter game would be COD4....If you do do this let me know i will be there for sure there is only one thing i like better than softball and thats video games...Let me know if i can help you in anyway.

If you have a good location you could either do it like all night Friday night, We used to start gaming battles at about 730 or 800 pm on friday and play thru the night have played till 7 or 8 the next morning that allways worked great for us....

How long does each match last?

depending on what game you play if its a sports game you can set the innings or quarters....Like in football we used to do 2min quarters and took about 15min to play a game probally....

A game like Call of Duty just get teams of 4 or 5 against each other and play a few rounds each round is like 15mins or the first to 750 points...

COD sucks, its nothing but a glitch fest. If you want a real game try Hello Kitty Island Adventure
