A lot of teams ARE catching up but they (S/C) will still get band from playing here in MS much. The Chargers, Focus, McNair and a few more will be better then them but........

Every single time an upper tournament is offered these teams should be in it without hesitation. Every one of these teams can play with Sportscenter on any given day.

I'm really suprised to see that Bubba didn't try to move in a new direction with his 2010 team. It was rumored that he was going to join the conference in 2010. I would have assumed by doing that, that he would have picked up a few fresh faces from the surrounding states to put together a nice team. I would imagine that the controversy surrounding the conference finals this year played into his decision not to join. But i'm still shocked that he didn't try to go out and pick up a few new pieces to build upon in the future. I think the case with him the last few years was that he needed to get younger and better defensively, but once again he's going back to the same horses that he's had for the last few years. Granted these horses would be welcomed in most stables, but there also comes a time that they need to be sent out to the pasture to graze.

With all that being said, I would look for SC to put together a very nice team for 2010. I'm sure he's got a couple of people still on his radar for next year. The bottom line is he has a veteran team that knows how to win. But at some point Bubba will have to make a big transition to a new core of players. Dont look for that to be this year... Maybe 2011.... We shall see.

Yea, they should start 'D' and play up....what kind of advice is that? If S/C is 'D' with that roster then everyone in the state should just quit softball. That is a ridiculous statment. We want some of these teams to play up....not have the best team in the state to play 'D'.

Ok let me get this straight, Bill, Jim, Patten, Shu, and Buckshot are all gone. The other 14 that are roster were on last year's roster. Counting the ones that left, he had 19 guys on roster. He had a big problem getting guys to the field last year. So now you have the same 14 of 19 from last year that almost drove you nuts about not showing up. What am I missing?

BTW, please don't say these guys were the only problems concerning attendance. Even if they didn't show up much that still leaves you with 11 players and 3 guys coming off the bench. Point is, you carried 19 guys on roster and still had all kinds of heck fielding a team! You cut five of those guys or they don't come back or whatever and you think your problems are solved? I figured you were going in a TOTALLY different direction this year after seeing your frustration last year but maybe I missed something.

Either way, I hope it works out for you cause you have noone to blame but yourself if it happens all over again.

Add $.98 to your $.02 and Bubba could buy a cup of coffee. If you look at the roster you can kinda figure out that either Rocky or JC will pitch. Thats the only ones on there. Why all the negative shots about a team nobody cares about anyway? Could it be coming from somebody not asked back? Hmmmm? Not saying, just saying.

he has a long offseason to fill a few holes if he needs. im sure he may still pick up a player or two still if need be to make sure enough always show up. just saying.

My boy Dane shows up to every tournament and he continually sits him on the bench. PLAY DANE! Gives 100 percent everytime he gets a chance to play.

I thought Dane was playing with Delta Extreme this year.

S/C WILL BE PLAYING C, NEXT YEAR. IF, A BIG IF, ALL THE TEAMS MOVE UP TO C THAT SAY THEY ARE, IT SHOULD BE THE BEST SOFTBALL IN THE STATE BY FAR SINCE THE LATE 90'S, EARLY 2000'S WHEN THERE WAS A TRUE C CLASS.

And i can tell you, if i havent played ball in quite a few years, then u can bet your sweet ass i wouldnt know all of bubbas problems from last year and for sure wouldnt be starting **** about the only two teams that had the balls to play where they are supposed to. You must be a true fan of softball!!

Nope, I am fed up of softball really. It is a game a used to love that is going down the drain in a hurry. You can thank altered bats, sandbagging teams, and greedy associations for that.

BTW, when it's posted on SC's website about guys not showing up (so bad even TJay wrote an article about it) you don't have to be in the game to know about it. All a guy has to do is read.
