Have you had this dog since it was a baby? Did you raise it from a puppy? If so How on Earth can you even consider taking it to the pound?? I am so tired of people around here getting dogs and then getting rid of them because they are too much trouble. You people need to do some research into the mind of dogs. Our dogs love us unconditionally and their hearts are broken when we put them away from us, and to take one to the pound is absolutely the most horrible thing I can imagine anyone doing to their pet, knowing that especially here its a death sentence.
If you are intent on getting rid of the dog contact PAWS and maybe they can put you in touch with a BOXER rescue group. If you care anything about this dog at all you will do all you can to see that it is never taken to the pound and put down because its just too much trouble. Oh, and by the way, I work and I have 2 dogs, my son/wife work and they have 3 dogs, 3 of our dogs are rescues.
