The Kelly-Clintwood Game

by 83Greenwave

was an emotional contest for both sides. I will admit, I haven't been the best fan sometimes at contests. I've been angry and emotional at times during games but never to the point of taunting an opposing player, coach or fan. If I have been emotional it has been at officiating in the past. Folks, the game is over. There were a lot of lessons learned last night and lessons that will be learned for a lifetime. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Let it go. I watched the game and I couldn't have been more proud of two football teams as I was in Clintwood and Kelly. It was a classic game marred by a questionable penalty (depending on your view) and fans and coaches too emotionally attached in the game. Has a lesson been learned from all of this? Yes. I need to not get so wrapped up in the emotion of the moment and realize...it's just a game. I can't have my way all the time and sometimes life has a way of bringing you back to reality after floating in your fantasy world of the perfect world. Clintwood players, you played a heck of a game. Kelly players, I am proud of your effort and determination to win. Let's learn our lessons from Friday night...let it go and move on.
