i paid 12 dollars a month for 9 years
just by chance i found out that everyone else was paying 9 dollars
i called and asked why
and how long they had been doing that?
the girl said she had worked there for 4 years and it had always been that way since she had been there
i asked why they had never told me that.
she said we have advertisements on the radio and in newspapers
i said well i don't listen to the radio and don't get the paper
then i asked why didn't they just send me an email
she said we don't do that
i ended up talking to her boss
and asked the same questions
she said oh. you have to pay with direct pay from you account and keep service for at least a year to get the deal
i informed her that we'd been paying that way for 9 years
i asked what we should do about this, cause i felt cheated
she said we can give you 3 months of service for free.
can you believe that 3 months?
i ended up talking to the next boss up
after about 30 minutes, she finally agreed that 1 year free was sufficient.
still not equaled out but i agreed.
after the year was up it went to 14 dollars a month
we canceled and got satellite internets
50 dollars a month and it works really good
as far as reliability ntelos worked pretty good considering it's dial up internets
but if you live out in the boonies and the phone lines are not in tip top shape, you'll not get and stay connected if it's raining
