Even before end of Independence Struggle Greeks had this article in our Constitution:
" any person who is in or visits Greece is free. Slavery is forbidden in Greece"
Now, how could Europeans create Greece as an excuse for slavery and allow it forbidding slavery, is Risto's duty to explain.
Until 1824 at least, European governments were against Greece's Independence and for stability in the region. They had Iera Symmachia ( Sanct Alliance) against any revolution in Europe. But the, due to the sacrifices of Greeks and atrocities of Turks, Philhellenes made it. European govs could not be against Greeks any more.
If Greeks wouldn't liberation that passionately no European would die for liberation of Greeks.
