Aurora spy plane?

Joe, in as much as I'm here in the midst of several military bases from all branches; and I'm six miles from Norfolk Internation Airport; and I've gone running at 3:00 a.m. five days a week since I moved here from Pompano Beach, FL, (location of the Goodyear Blimp Base and Heliport); if the sky is clear, I've seen it all. I've witnessed a Russian rocket launched in 1972 re-enter the atmosphere along the coast, but since this occured the Thursday morning prior to Tuesday, September 11, 2001, the media buried it. I've seen the International Space Station, and countless satellites reflecting sunlight from their solar arrays. The con-trail I saw was not made by the Aurora Spy Plane, or any other craft, unless such craft experienced a catastrophic malfunction very high up, and spiraled out of controll all the way down. The corkscrew-shaped con-trail was quite irratic...like something VERY out of control. I would never report this unless I was convinced it was something that went very wrong.
